Pediatric Audiology
At the heart of every child’s development is the ability to hear, connect, and communicate. Dr. Kendra Fajardo, Au.D., is a dedicated pediatric audiologist specializing in comprehensive hearing evaluations and personalized care for children of all ages, from newborns to teens.
With years of experience and a gentle, child-centered approach, Dr. Fajardo helps families navigate hearing challenges with compassion, precision, and hope.
Comprehensive Pediatric Hearing Services
- Dr. Fajardo provides advanced diagnostic and treatment options tailored to meet the needs of each child — including those with unique medical conditions or developmental considerations.
- Auditory Evoked Potential Testing (ABR & More)
- For infants or children who cannot respond during a traditional hearing test, Dr. Fajardo uses Auditory Evoked Potential Testing to assess hearing through the brain’s response to sound. These non-invasive tests are safe, painless, and provide critical information for early intervention.
- Supporting Special Populations
- Children with conditions like Down syndrome, autism, microtia, or aural atresia often require specialized care. Dr. Fajardo is experienced in working with diverse populations and uses the latest tools and techniques to deliver accurate testing and the most appropriate treatment options.
Personalized Hearing Aid Solutions
Dr. Fajardo works closely with families to find hearing solutions that match each child’s lifestyle and hearing needs, ensuring comfort, durability, and clarity of sound.
- Traditional Behind-the-Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids
Durable and easy to manage, BTE hearing aids are ideal for children and are custom-fitted for optimal performance. - Bone Conduction Hearing Aids
For children with conductive or mixed hearing loss, bone conduction devices bypass outer and middle ear issues to deliver sound directly to the inner ear. Dr. Fajardo offers both softband and implantable options, depending on your child’s needs and age.
Note: Over-the-counter hearing aids are not designed for children and should never replace professionally fitted devices. Dr. Fajardo ensures that all devices are properly programmed and monitored for your child’s safety and progress.

Fitting & Dispensing of Hearing Aids
Once a comprehensive hearing evaluation and hearing needs assessment are completed with your audiologist, a hearing aid demo may be recommended. We strongly believe in trying appropriate amplification in the real world before making such a big purchase. Our audiologists are here to help walk you through that process.
At your hearing aid demo, you will get the opportunity to ask questions and learn about different hearing aid companies, technologies, styles, and prices to see what fits best with your particular needs. If you choose to purchase hearing aids, the audiologist will complete the dispensation of hearing aids including counseling regarding care and maintenance as well as real-ear verification.

Fitting & Dispensing of Assistive Listening Devices
Sometimes we need a little extra help to hear in different listening environments. Assistive listening devices can often help speech understanding in difficult listening situations. Our audiologists are able to discuss with you and/or fit you with appropriate accessories to meet your individual needs.
