Biography:
Dr. Umberto Orazi, MD, FACP, brings a deeply global perspective to his practice, shaped by over 40 years of medical experience across continents and clinical settings. A native of Civitella del Tronto, Italy—a historic hilltop town nestled between the Gran Sasso mountains and the Adriatic Sea—he earned his medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Florence. After serving as a lieutenant physician in the Italian Army, Dr. Orazi spent 12 years as a ship’s doctor for Princess Cruises, caring for patients across all walks of life in nearly every corner of the globe. He completed Internal Medicine residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and has since held leadership roles in private practices, hospice programs, and hospital systems throughout the U.S. Board certified in Internal Medicine and formerly in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Orazi’s approach to care is founded on human connection, experience, and trust. He is passionate about helping patients navigate both prevention and chronic disease with equal attention and empathy.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking, hunting, skiing, cooking, and exploring the outdoors of Montana with his wife Karen, their children, and grandchildren. A lifelong traveler fluent in multiple languages, Dr. Orazi maintains strong ties to his Italian roots—including keeping a map of Italy in his exam room to share his story with curious patients.
Philosophy of Care:
“My guiding principle is to approach each patient with the same care and dignity I would give my own family. Medicine is a science, but compassion is its soul.”
