She is also the first female urogynecologist in the state of Montana.
Urogynecology is a specialized field of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders in women related to childbirth, aging or neurological conditions. Pelvic disorders may include prolapse, incontinence and pelvic pain. The goal of urogynecology is to improve quality of life for women suffering from pelvic floor disorders through comprehensive evaluation, personalized treatment plans and ongoing management strategies.
Single-incision sling surgery is a minimally invasive surgical option to treat stress urinary incontinence (SUI). It is a highly successful outpatient procedure that involves far less foreign material in the body than the original sling surgery procedure. Patients experience little to no pain and a quick recovery time that gets them back to doing what they love.
“In the last five years, data has really grown supporting the use of more minimally invasive
procedures that get women back to activity faster, such as urethral bulking and single-incision
slings,” says Dr. Bennett. “I’m incredibly grateful to care for women with SUI. It’s an honor
that our team is able to improve access to this specialized care, close to home.”
