BOZEMAN, MT — Bozeman Health proudly marked the grand opening of its newly established Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit on Wednesday, September 10. The event marked a major milestone in expanding access to high-quality, compassionate inpatient psychiatric care for the community.
Local leaders, community members and Bozeman Health care team members gathered for the ceremony that featured remarks from organizational and community representatives – including Gallatin County Commissioner Zach Brown – a ribbon cutting, and guided tours of the space.
The newly remodeled unit at Deaconess Regional Medical Center is designed to serve up to 14 adult patients in a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment. The integrated care model includes specialized case management services, individual and group therapy services, medication management, nursing support, occupational therapy, emergency detention/civil commitment services, and educational, enrichment and vocational support opportunities.
The unit will begin accepting patients on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Philanthropic contributions to Bozeman Health Foundation help support Bozeman Health’s continued expansion and enhancement of psychiatric services and patient care services across the care continuum. There will always be a place for community support in psychiatric services, in this unit and into the future. Gifts of support help offset a portion of construction and equipment costs, operational costs, specialized personnel, occupational therapy, curriculum enrichment and other enhancements to programming.
Bozeman Health is a proud member of the Gallatin Behavioral Health Coalition and continues to work in close parntership with regional organization to strengthen the behavioral health continuum. These partnerships, alongside the health system’s dedicated care teams, bring this important work to life.
