New grade for fall 2024 is a national recognition for commitment to patient safety
Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center earned an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns a safety letter grade to eligible hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, preventable injuries and infections, as well as the workflows hospitals have in place to prevent them. This achievement highlights Bozeman Health’s commitment to patient safety and quality care, placing it in the top
30% of hospitals nationwide.
“This is a testament to the exceptional dedication, at all levels of our care teams, to deliver the highest quality care in a safe environment to every patient every time.” says Dr. Kathryn Bertany, Bozeman Health CEO. “We are proud to receive an ‘A’ for safe care as it reflects the excellent outcomes thar our patients are achieving, including low rates of post-operative complications and hospital-associated infections, as well as the excellent patient experience our care teams deliver.”
“Achieving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade is a significant accomplishment for Bozeman Health,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “It reflects enormous dedication to your patients and their families, and your whole community should be proud. I extend my congratulations to Bozeman Health, its leadership, clinicians, staff and volunteers for their tireless efforts to put patients first.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade stands as the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries in the United States. This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
