Bozeman Health heart program among top 1% in the nation

Bozeman Health announces it has earned a Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology. For over a decade, the Chest Pain- MI Registry has been the single most trusted source for outcomes-based, continuous quality improvement and remains the go-to registry for health systems applying American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association clinical guideline recommendations.

Bozeman Health is recognized as being in the top 1% of cardiology groups nationwide for the treatment and care of acute heart attacks. Part of the exceptional care includes the initial management of heart attacks, how quickly our care team can open up a blocked artery that is feeding the heart muscle. This recognition also includes specific metrics involving how our health system treats patients following a heart attack. After quickly restoring blood flow in a blocked artery, our care team’s attention is fully focused on preventing any future heart attacks.

“Scoring in the top 1% nationally is an honor and something our team takes pride in, but we are keenly aware that we are not treating numbers or percentiles,” says Sloane Kitowski, Bozeman Health Cath Lab operations manager. “We are treating individuals, our friends and neighbors, and feel the deep importance and honor of providing personalized and compassionate cardiac care to our community.”

This recognition demonstrates sustained achievement of performance measures in the treatment of heart attack patients. In addition, Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center’s (DRMC) stroke program is among the top 10% in the nation. In 2023, DRMC cared for 41,693 patients, most of which required trauma, heart attack, or stroke care.

As the only trauma receiving hospital in Gallatin County, Bozeman Health is dedicated to delivering the highest quality, time-sensitive care. This award reflects just that, and our commitment to providing exceptional care to our community.
