Kelly Halmes Named Administrator of Big Sky Medical CenterBozeman, MT – June 24, 2025

Bozeman Health is pleased to announce that Kelly Halmes (Reynolds), MSN, RN, has accepted the position of Administrator and Director of Nursing at Big Sky Medical Center (BSMC). Halmes has been a dedicated member of the BSMC team since its opening in 2015. She initially joined as a registered nurse and was promoted to Nurse Manager in 2020, providing key leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2023, she advanced to Director of Nursing, a role she continues to hold alongside her new administrative responsibilities. Halmes has served as Interim Administrator since May 2024 and was instrumental in securing BSMC’s designation as a Montana Trauma Receiving Facility by the State Trauma Care Committee and the Department of Health and Human Services.

In her expanded role, Halmes oversees all aspects of hospital operations, including staffing, planning, and service execution at both Big Sky Medical Center and B2 UrgentCare Big Sky. She also acts as a liaison with community partners throughout Big Sky and surrounding areas. “Living and working in the Big Sky community is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” said Halmes. “This place is filled with incredibly interesting, resourceful, and kind individuals. It’s an honor to serve, provide care, and reside in such a remarkable community.” She and her husband, son, and daughter are long-time Big Sky residents and enjoy all the phenomenal activities of mountain living.

B2 UrgentCare Expands to Summer Season

Bozeman Health is also excited to announce that B2 UrgentCare Big Sky, located on the mountain at Big Sky Resort, is now open for the summer season. This year B2 UrgentCare is expanding its services in response to community demand and a request from Big Sky Resort leadership.

The clinic will be open Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., throughout the summer, offering convenient, high-quality care for both residents and visitors.
