Biography:
Dr. Jeffrey Tjaden is an internal medicine, infectious disease and travel medicine specialist. Prior to joining Bozeman Health, Dr. Tjaden practiced in Northwest Montana for 15 years, and before coming to Montana was a Commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps in Portsmouth, Virginia. He specialized in the treatment of HIV, post-operative infections and travel medicine. Dr. Tjaden has a particular interest in viral diseases, and has lived and worked in many countries throughout Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East.
When helping patients who suffer from infectious diseases, Dr. Tjaden feels that much of his role includes alleviating their fears and anxieties, education, and development of an effective treatment strategy. “It’s important to establish relationships with patients and understand their medical history to establish a treatment plan”, says Dr. Tjaden. “Much of my role includes educating my patients so they can effectively make decisions to take charge of their treatment and recovery.”
