Biography:
Dr. Kale Knudson was raised on a farm and ranch in Highwood, Montana, and earned his degree in chemical engineering from Montana State University. After working for three years as a process engineer for BP in Washington, he followed a new calling to medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Washington, an internship at the University of Michigan, and his internal medicine residency at Billings Clinic. He later served as a faculty member and outpatient director for the Billings Clinic Internal Medicine Residency before joining the Bozeman VA clinic—and now, Bozeman Health. He also serves as a medical director for Stillwater Hospice in Bozeman.
Dr. Knudson married his high school sweetheart, and together they have three children. His Christian faith guides both his life and his involvement in the local church community. He is an avid Bobcat fan who enjoys attending Montana State games, spending time with family, traveling, playing piano, camping, golfing and skiing.
Philosophy of Care
A joyful heart is good medicine. — Proverbs 17:22
“As a general internist, I specialize in caring for adults with chronic health conditions and see my role as your medical advocate, partner, and guide—helping you to make informed decisions that align with your goals and values.
I believe in the power of lifestyle choices (nutrition, movement, prayer) to support lasting wellness, while also using treatments and medications to help my patients feel and live better. In our visits, I’ll be your coach—but you’re the one who carries the ball forward.”
