Biography
Dr. Michelle Barton is a board-certified adult psychiatrist, who is part of Bozeman Health’s outpatient psychiatric team. She specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-informed care, women’s mental health, and integrative treatments.

Dr. Barton earned her MD and MPH from Oregon Health & Science University and completed her psychiatry residency at University of California, San Francisco, where she served as Chief Resident of Clinical Programs and achieved an Area of Distinction in Women’s Mental Health. Dr Barton is also certified in nutritional psychiatry.

Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, she studied and played Varsity lacrosse at Stanford University before pursuing medical training. Outside the hospital, you are likely to find her running, gardening, skiing, practicing yoga, coaching youth lacrosse, or exploring the outdoors with her husband, two children, cat, and dog.
