Biography
Dr. Rich Lesperance brings a wealth of experience in trauma and acute care surgery to Bozeman Health Regional Medical Center. He completed his General Surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma WA, and his fellowship in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He served many years as a Trauma Surgeon in the US Army, including a tour as Trauma Medical Director for Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq. A seasoned surgeon with extensive military and academic leadership experience, Dr. Lesperance is dedicated to delivering expert, evidence-based care for patients with severe traumatic injuries and critical surgical needs.
His clinical interests include trauma surgery, surgical critical care, and chest wall injury management. Outside of medicine, Rich enjoys Montana’s outdoors, motorcycles and woodworking, and is passionate about serving the local community with the highest standard of care.
