About The Unit
Our Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit is the first of its kind in Southwest Montana and intentionally designed to support safe, compassionate, enriching therapeutic services and inpatient care, close to home.
Our Comprehensive Programming Includes:
- Psychiatric Evaluation
- Resource Navigation
- Individual and Group Counseling
- Medication Management
- Occupational Therapy
- Nursing Support and Education
We are dedicated to helping patients regain stability and build skills for recovery in a supportive environment.
What to Expect
Inpatient care is provided to individuals whose health condition requires hospital admission. This means spending one or more nights in the hospital under the care of doctors, nurses, and other types of health care professionals.
Our Healing Environment
Designed in partnership with consultants specializing in psychiatric units and informed by national best practices and insights from regional experts, staff, and community partners, our unit offers a carefully curated space that supports patient-centered, compassionate care.
Our Comprehensive Programming Includes:
- 14 Patient Beds via 8 Patient Rooms (6 double rooms, 2 single rooms)
- Dedicated Space for Individual & Group Therapy and a Variety of Therapeutic Activities
- Patient, Family, Exam, and Consultation Areas
We encourage family involvement as part of the recovery process. Visits are coordinated to support patient safety and therapeutic wellbeing.

- Original sent along with EMS/transporter to be given to Bozeman Health Inpatient Unit staff
- Psychiatric Patient Rights
- Copy given to patient to inform their signing of the Application for Voluntary Admission.
