Biography:
Tegan Ake, MD, is a board-certified neurologist who provides comprehensive care for adults with a wide range of neurological conditions. She has specialized expertise in headache disorders, facial pain and functional neurologic disorders, helping patients find answers and improve their quality of life. Dr. Ake earned her bachelor’s degree in cell biology and neuroscience, graduating summa cum laude from Montana State University. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin before completing an internship in internal medicine and a neurology residency at the University of Utah. Prior to joining Bozeman Health, Dr. Ake practiced neurology in Bozeman, where she developed expertise in diagnosing and treating migraines, facial pain and other neurological conditions. She performs Botox injections for migraine, occipital nerve blocks, trigeminal nerve blocks and trigger point injections.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ake has been passionate about patient advocacy, education and physician wellness. Her research has focused on migraine, community health and improving patient-centered care, and she has been recognized with numerous awards for excellence in patient care and medical education. Outside of work, Dr. Ake enjoys hiking, camping, metalsmithing and reading. She is proud to call Bozeman home.

Philosophy of Care:
Living with a neurological condition can be challenging, and I believe every patient deserves to feel heard, supported and understood. My goal is to partner with patients to better understand their symptoms, explain their diagnosis clearly and create a personalized treatment plan that helps them get back to living life as fully as possible.
