Biography:
Dr. Andrew Baird is a board-certified cardiologist providing comprehensive cardiovascular care for adults at Bozeman Health. He specializes in general cardiology and has advanced expertise in multimodality cardiac imaging, using tools such as echocardiography, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI and nuclear cardiology to better understand each patient’s heart health and guide personalized treatment. Dr. Baird earned his medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a Clinical Scholars Program in advanced hospital medicine in Colorado. He then completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Utah, where he served as chief fellow and developed additional expertise in advanced cardiac imaging.

His clinical interests include hypertension, lipid disorders, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure and arrhythmias. He is particularly interested in using advanced imaging to improve diagnosis, assess cardiovascular risk and help patients and their care teams make informed decisions about treatment. Dr. Baird is committed to evidence-based medicine and building lasting, supportive relationships with his patients. His experience in caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions is complemented by a strong commitment to teaching, research and improving access to care. He has volunteered with free medical clinics serving underserved and unhoused communities and has published research on heart failure, cardiac imaging and cardiovascular disease.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Baird enjoys taking advantage of Montana’s outdoors through hiking, trail running, mountain biking and downhill skiing. He also enjoys live music and is an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Philosophy of Care:
“I believe good cardiovascular care starts with listening. Every patient has different goals and concerns. I want them to feel heard and involved in decisions about their health. My approach is grounded in evidence-based medicine, while recognizing that the right treatment plan needs to fit the individual. I work with patients to understand their cardiovascular risks, explain their options in clear language and develop a plan we can work toward together. Whether we are managing high blood pressure or cholesterol, evaluating heart disease or caring for a more complex condition, my goal is to build a trusting relationship and help patients feel confident in their care.”
