Biography:
Jessica Comerford, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care for adults. She is committed to building long-term relationships with patients and partnering with them to make informed decisions about their health. Dr. Comerford earned her medical degree from the University of Washington before completing her internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, where she also served as chief resident. During her training, she received additional education in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), using bedside imaging to support diagnostic accuracy and enhance patient care.
Her clinical interests include preventive care, women’s health and the use of point-of-care ultrasound to help evaluate medical conditions during office visits when appropriate. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Comerford has been active in medical education, quality improvement and resident teaching. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and has volunteered at clinics serving uninsured and underserved patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Comerford enjoys hiking, running, doing hot yoga and baking. She especially enjoys experimenting with new recipes in search of the perfect macaroni and cheese.
Philosophy of Care:
Two principles guide my approach to patient care: individualized care and advocacy. Every patient is unique, and I believe the best decisions are made together. My role is to provide clear, evidence-based information so patients can make informed choices that align with their goals and values.
I also believe great care is a team effort. When questions arise, I collaborate with specialists and other members of the care team to ensure every patient receives the highest quality of care possible.
