Biography:
Dr. Edwards is originally from Vermont which is where she attended medical school before moving to west in 2015 for residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University. Although she always intended to practice full spectrum Obstetrics and Gynecology, she was lucky enough to be accepted in to a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery. This gave her advanced surgical training in order to provide an additional skill set to her patients. She practiced for 5 years in Portland, Oregon and then moved with her husband and three young kids to Bozeman to be out of the city and closer to the mountains.
Philosophy of Care:
“My philosophy of care is rooted in the believe that women deserve a physician who listens first, explains honestly, and treats them as a partner in every decision about their body. As a general OB/GYN and gynecological surgeon, I see patients across every stage of life from first exams and family planning to pregnancy, menopause, and complex surgical conditions. I try to bring the same steadiness and respect to each of those moments. I believe good medicine means taking the time to understand the whole person, including her values, fears and goals, before recommending a path forward. In the operating room, that translates into careful judgement, surgical precision and a commitment to choosing the least invasive option that truly serves the patients needs. Outside of it, it means building long term relationships where patients feel safe raising difficult questions, confident that their concerns will be taken seriously, and supported in making choses that are genuinely their own.”
